🔹 What Patients Can Expect from Their General Practice:

  • Respectful, inclusive, and accessible care.

  • Support in accessing services, including reasonable adjustments for disabilities or other needs.

  • Clear information on how to give feedback, raise concerns, or make complaints.

  • Help from the practice team to understand care options and navigate services.

🔹 What General Practices Expect from Patients:

  • Punctuality: Arrive on time for appointments.

  • Preparedness: Bring necessary information, such as medication lists or symptom details.

  • Consideration: Cancel appointments early if they are no longer needed to avoid wasting time/resources.

  • Respectful behaviour towards staff and other patients.

🔹 Support and Adjustments:

  • Patients can request reasonable adjustments (e.g., longer appointments, communication support, wheelchair access).

  • Practices are encouraged to tailor services to meet individual patient needs where possible.

🔹 Feedback and Concerns:

  • Practices should provide clear, accessible ways for patients or their representatives to:

    • Give positive or constructive feedback.

    • Raise concerns or make a formal complaint, if necessary.

    • Expect responses that are timely, respectful, and informative.
